but another friend o mine who have a HP pavillion dv 6000, amd turion 64x laptop, he couldnt get his laptop to powerup.. all that comes up is a beep, beep, beep (3x) sound and thats it.. he witnessed me short-dircuitng the bios battery so he tried doing so but nothing happens still.. I think that it has nothing to do w bios but maybe w his motherboard or cards.. he's working in another ship now so i cant get to him to see his pc..

Bluetooth
I 've got a new pavillion dv6500 AMD Turion 64x2 2GB of ram 160gb HD.
It seems not to have Bluetooth and infrared connectivity, thats really absurd. though a can see a bluetooth PAN adapter installed, i wonder what that is for since am unable to establish any connections using it. the only thing that works fine is the WLAN
HP DV6000 does not boot up
Hi!
Some weeks ago i faced the same problem. After pressing the power-on button three beeps (one long, two short) were all that happened. HP support told me, that those 3 beeps are a 100% indication for a damaged mainboard. This turned out to be correct, so trying to repair the notebook yourself is a waste of time. Evidently HP uses junk components for consumer notebooks.
but don worry about that, this is the video maybe can haelp you to solve your problem
