Embassy of Japan in its letter No. 3 / 2010 dated 12 April 2010 offers to the Bureau of the State Secretariat KTLN Student Research Program for 2011, one of the Japanese Government Scholarship programs (Monbukagakusho), which is designed for those interested in research student programs in universities in Japan. Interest at the time undergoing research student is allowed to apply to degree programs (S-2/S-3/professional graduate courses) or S-3 to continue the program after completing the program S-2/Professional graduate courses, if passed selection tests given by the university exam concerned. Registration is open until May 12, 2010.

Requirements
1. Born on and after April 2, 1976.
2. Minimum GPA of 3.0 from last college level (or value EJUminimal 260 in the amount two eye exams excluding Japanese)
3. TOEFL-PBT value of at least 550 or minimum CBT TOEFL 213 or TOEFL-IBT at least 79 or equivalent, or the Japanese Language Proficiency Test level 2 minimum.
4. Selecting the same field of study with the previous disciplines.
5. Willing to learn Japanese.
6. Physically and mentally healthy.
7. Applicants should read and understand the attached information carefully.
How to Applying
1. Forms can be taken in the Education Section Embassy of Japan, Consulate General of Japan in Surabaya and Medan or can be downloaded from this page.
2. Form along with required documents should be brought / sent directly to the Education Section Embassy of Japan in Jakarta (not to the Consulate General of Japan).
3. Registration opened on April 12, 2009 until May 12, 2009.
4. Prepare documents in accordance with the attachment no. 7.
Selection Stage
1. Embassy of Japan to undertake a selection of documents, and will notify those who qualify for 1 (one) week before the written exam. (Approximately 100 applicants are selected through the selection of this document.)
2. Written exam Japanese and English will be held in Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan in early July 2010. (English as a test of choice. The higher value will be used for selection consideration.)
3. Interviews will be held in Jakarta for all participants of the written examination in July 2010 in accordance with the schedule set by the Embassy of Japan (costs of transportation and accommodation are not provided by the Embassy of Japan).
4. For those who pass the selection at the Embassy of Japan, will be given a certificate as follows: 1 (one) file a form with documents that have been given the stamp of the Embassy of Japan, a certificate for the college in Japan, and sheets of "Letter of Acceptance". Applicants may choose a maximum of 3 (three) universities to obtain a license acceptance as a degree program student or research student, or a "Letter of Acceptance" (unofficial reception permits) as a research student.

6. Please send a letter of permission or a Letter of Acceptance from the college as soon as possible to the Embassy of Japan Japan.
7. Embassy of Japan will recommend participants to MEXT.
8. Participants will be the recipient of a scholarship if you qualify for selection in MEXT.
